Why did I run 100 miles?
It’s a fair question, right?
I think it started with the shoes. Nike created a challenge that gave the top 50 runners (mileage) a free pair of kicks.
Some people said it would take 60 miles to be top 50, some said 75. I thought 100 would definitely seal the deal. So a couple days before last Tuesday, that’s what I decided on.
Tuesday to Tuesday, 8 full days of running = 100 miles.

Runners on Parade
Yes, I’ve been listening to my Rage Against the Machine station on Pandora this morning.
I think when most non-running people picture runners & races, they get images of thousands of runners crammed on some urban street, hemmed in by the sidewalks & buildings. It’s a parade of runners.

Your Story
A little while ago (seriousy, like an hour ago) I had lunch with two gentlemen. It was a pre-arranged lunch, through a friend of a friend, where they wanted to talk to me about something… business or insurance or steak knives. All I really know is that I got free fish tacos.
What really struck me was how quickly these guys, obviously adept salesman, tried to get to know me. Now, did they...
