if I’m really honest…

For the past few weeks I’ve been teaching through a series on “How to Read the Bible,” and a few nights ago I was sitting in my home and found myself convicted.

If someone were to follow me around and ask “where does Petey find the words to life,” do you know what the answer would be?

I do.

And let me clarify that prior question. It could probably take the form of:

“Where does Petey believe he’s going to find the most important truths in life?

“Where does Petey find his source of encouragement, enlightenment, and enjoyment?”

“When Petey is frustrated, confused, and needs direction, where does he turn?”

or

“Where does Petey find the story that he believes is the most important story to invest his time in?”

What would the answer be?

If you answered “the Bible,” to any of the above questions, I’m embarrassed.

To say the least.

Because if someone who didn’t know me spent a week following me around and documenting my activity,

the answer

would be

Facebook.

What about you?
