Future is Prologue

The Gospel has an agenda.

The Good News has a destination.

As if it had wheels and an engine, it is rolling on an imaginary route to somewhere.

Guided beyond the grasp and reach of humanity, it’s destination is both known and mysterious; a paradox of reality and something greater.

For those who listen,

with honesty,

sincerity, and humility,

there’s a clear call: follow suit, join me,

Join in something bigger than you.

It’s the Gospel-in-Motion.

The Pneuma its fuel,

The Christos its Shape,

relying on the Father as both map & guide.

Listen to its story; hear its call.

The future is the prologue. The end is the beginning. The journey already knows its fate. Jesus altered the destination for humanity, or maybe he redefined it. The future has revealed itself, it’s popped its head up and given us a taste of what is good.

And so this Good News, the Gospel-in-Motion, is a journey that’s calling the Created to its climax—it’s Collision with the Creator.

Jesus is beckoning for the future-present collision to be something we embrace, not something we ignore, fear, or doubt.

The Gospel is on the move. The future is overtaking the present.

Let is be the reality that guides you,

sets your agenda,

sets you free.
