The Blazers have a great slogan, “Rise With Us,” which speaks to the reclamation project going on with Rip City’s basketball team.
On the way in, I saw a sign that said “Together: Rise With Us.”
I think it’s a great rallying cry for a basketball team and a town, as far as that can go. And, it has deep revelations for the ideas of community, momentum, solidarity, & hope. Somehow the Blazer brass has dreamed up a cool way to tap into the energy of the city. That, in itself, is a great image of what we should be dreaming about as the people of God.
